Apple announced on October 26, 2026, that Spanish joined the Siri AI beta with its 27.2 software updates. The worldwide language expansion also covered French, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese, but access depends on a compatible Apple Intelligence-enabled device and supported languages; Apple says availability can vary by region and feature.

What Apple announced in 27.2
Apple lists the beta for iOS 27.2, iPadOS 27.2, macOS 27.2, watchOS 27.2 and visionOS 27.2. The announcement expands language support, but does not make every feature available on every device or in every region.
Siri AI is part of Apple Intelligence. For background on the wider suite, see our earlier Apple Intelligence overview.
Which devices, languages and regions qualify?
Apple requires a compatible device that supports Apple Intelligence and supported languages for both the device and Siri. Tech Santos, in a Spanish-language demonstration, says those language settings should match; his example uses Spanish (Mexico). Apple does not list specific device models in the announcement.
| Requirement or limit | What Apple says |
| Software | Siri AI beta is available with iOS 27.2, iPadOS 27.2, macOS 27.2, watchOS 27.2 and visionOS 27.2. |
| Device and language | A compatible Apple Intelligence-enabled device and supported languages for the device and Siri are required. |
| European Union | Siri AI is unavailable in the EU on iOS, iPadOS and watchOS. |
| Age | Siri AI is unavailable to users under 13. |
| Usage | Certain server-model features, including Siri AI, have daily limits. Apple says expanded access will be available for a fee in the future. |
For US users, the announcement describes a worldwide Spanish-language expansion, not a guarantee that every feature will work on every compatible device. Apple says availability can vary by region and language.
What the Spanish-language demonstration shows
Tech Santos demonstrates general-knowledge questions and follow-ups, requests involving personal context, reminders and calendars, on-screen awareness in apps including WhatsApp, Gmail and Instagram, and camera-based Visual Intelligence. The demonstration also notes limits on reaching deep history in third-party apps.
User accounts of Siri AI are mixed. Some people describe useful personal-context retrieval from email; others report delays or failures with basic tasks. These individual reports are not standardized tests of Siri AI in Spanish.
What Apple says about privacy and usage limits
Apple vice president of AI Product Marketing Lilian Rincón said requests are processed on-device when possible. For requests that need cloud processing, she said Apple uses Private Cloud Compute and that data processed there are not stored or accessible to Apple. Those are Apple’s statements about its data handling.
Apple says daily limits apply to certain server-side model features, including Siri AI, and can vary with request complexity, system demand and other factors. The company says expanded access will be available for a fee in the future.
