Apple CEO John Ternus could not predict when supply and demand for the iPhone Duo would balance, according to remarks La Razón reported on Nov. 3. The same report said orders placed in Spain at that time were estimated for late January 2027.

That Spain estimate is separate from the U.S. launch-day snapshot: on Oct. 16, ZDNET reported that Apple Store delivery estimates in the United States had reached Jan. 25, 2027 across the configurations it listed. It was a dated snapshot, not a current checkout estimate.

NeoTeo’s earlier iPhone Duo review covered the phone’s multitasking and software. This follow-up looks at what the reported delivery outlook means for people waiting on an order.

Apple has no predicted date for supply and demand to balance

La Razón attributed the supply outlook to Ternus and reported that he made the remarks on Nov. 2. Apple had described initial preorder demand as extraordinary in a statement reported by 9to5Mac on Oct. 16. La Razón also reported production constraints and earlier hinge-manufacturing difficulties, but said Apple had not identified the component then limiting output.

The iPhone Duo’s preorders opened on Oct. 16, 2026, and availability began Oct. 23, according to launch-period reporting. The January dates came later as delivery estimates for orders, not as a stated date for when supply would catch up.

The U.S. estimate was a launch-day snapshot

ZDNET reported that the U.S. Apple Store’s estimates had reached Jan. 25, 2027 on Oct. 16, the day preorders opened. Its report said the date applied across the configurations it listed. That figure describes the launch-day estimate, while La Razón’s Nov. 3 report concerned orders placed in Spain at that later time.

Another buyer’s order status cannot predict yours

GregsGadgets recounts a personal launch-day iPhone Duo preorder and the Nov. 2 to 9 delivery estimate he received.

Individual buyers have described different outcomes. In a Reddit order-status thread, some said “preparing to ship” lasted from hours to several days; one reported waiting a week. A buyer in a separate Reddit discussion said the phone arrived before the original estimate, while another buyer described a carrier delay that pushed delivery beyond the expected window in the preorder megathread. These are individual accounts, not a reliable forecast for another order.

GregsGadgets also recounted a personal launch-day attempt: after considering in-store pickup and home delivery, the creator received a Nov. 2 to 9 delivery estimate for a 1TB iPhone Duo. His account adds another example of a single order’s experience, not a general delivery timeline.
