Apple’s Developer News page, dated November 3, 2026, announced a developer preview for connecting third-party apps to Siri AI through App Intents. The preview is for developers working in four 27.3 operating-system betas; Apple says App Store submissions for these experiences are planned to open in spring. (Apple Developer News)

How App Intents connect apps to Siri AI

App Intents let developers expose an app’s content and actions so Siri AI can work with them. Apple says the assistant can use personal context, awareness of what is on screen, and natural-language requests to carry out actions an app makes available.

Apple’s examples include asking for directions, managing a to-do list, sending a message, and catching up on an audiobook. For more complex requests, Skills can combine several actions into one experience. Apple also says Siri AI can surface any entity in Spotlight’s semantic index, including entities that do not fit an existing predefined data structure.

The preview’s platforms and languages

Apple lists the developer preview in the betas for iOS 27.3, iPadOS 27.3, macOS 27.3, and visionOS 27.3. Its language list for the preview is English, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Developer preview comes before App Store submissions

Apple describes the feature as a developer preview and says the App Store submission window for these experiences will open in spring. The announcement does not specify a year for that timing. The submission stage is part of Apple’s planned rollout, separate from the preview developers are using to build their integrations.
