By 5:30 a.m. PT on October 16, 2026, Apple’s US store showed an estimated January 25, 2027 delivery date for new iPhone Duo orders. The estimate covered both colors and all four storage options, according to QZ. It did not describe every early order: some customers who ordered as preorders opened were due to receive their phones on launch day, while other early buyers saw later windows.
Apple opened US preorders at 5:00 a.m. PT that day. For more on the lead-up, see NeoTeo’s earlier coverage of reported US timing for the rumored iPhone 18 Fold.
What Apple’s January estimate covered
The January 25 estimate applied to new US orders placed after preorders opened. QZ reported it for the Star White and Night Sky colors and the 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB configurations. That snapshot gives a more precise picture than treating January as the delivery date for everyone who preordered.
Apple described demand as extraordinary and said it would continue accepting online orders in a statement shared with CNBC on October 16, as 9to5Mac reported. Separately, ZDNET cited Mark Gurman’s reporting on supply-chain constraints.
Early order dates varied
QZ reported that some customers who placed orders as the preorder window opened were due to get the phone on launch day. Other early buyers saw later delivery windows. GregsGadgets also recounts missing day-one delivery in a personal account:
