If you're one of the many people who struggles to fall asleep or suffers from drowsiness, the platform we're about to mention will surely be of great help. Can’t Sleep is a free program that uses music scientifically calibrated to distract your mind from wakeful thoughts. The utility blocks ambient noise using audio masking, so you only hear the program's music and can sleep.
According to the Can’t Sleep website, after the first 10 days of treatment with the tool, you'll wake up with 25% more energy.
How to Use Can’t Sleep on Your Mobile?
Once the platform starts, its interface opens in the settings, and you'll notice they're preconfigured. You'll find 8 presets: Default, Jazz, Gypsy, Water, Barque, Spring, New Age, and All. When you select a preset, four playback modes are listed: Relax, Focus, Infant Sleep, and Sleep.
When you play any of the predefined music, the platform sets a background photo (relevant to the selected preset). On the screen you'll see four buttons: Playback, timer (clock icon), menu, and setting the song tempo (heart icon). For that last button, it's very important to adjust the music tempo to your heart rate when falling asleep (according to the Can’t Sleep website). With the timer button, you can select a countdown so the tool turns off automatically. The menu button lets you toggle: high notes, melody, bass, sound effects, rhythm, and soundscape.
In the Custom tab, you can select songs according to your taste. There you'll find: 11 instrument sounds, 6 drum sounds, and 17 ambient sounds. You'll also see a mode where you can select the background image and the option to change the presets quickly.
The music you'll find in the environment was created from two studies and research on musical psychology, music therapy, and evolutionary musicology. The songs are perfectly calibrated to create a state of physical and mental calm in the user. Can’t Sleep is a free program that doesn't require an internet connection and is available for Android and iOS mobile devices.
