GPU Caps Viewer is an application that lets you check how your GPU is working and monitor it in real time (Graphics Processing Unit). This way you'll know if your graphics card supports that new game or application. The tool is very easy to use and does all the work for you; you just have to run it.
Once you download the application from its official page, you just have to run the utility and it will automatically detect the GPU in your computer. At that moment you'll receive all the information about the installed card (it can also detect multiple cards), such as memory, speed, driver version, temperature, clock, OpenGL and PhysX, among other information.
You can also get the performance of the unit through eleven analyses (Fur Rendering, Sel-Shading Rendering, VTF, VBO Torus Stack, Soft Shadows, GLSL PointSprite Particle System, etc.). This way you'll know if your graphics card is well configured and will process the graphics well for games and applications.
As you can see, the utility is very easy to use. From its six tabs (GPU, OpenGL, CUDA, OpenCL, Tools and Validation) you can get all the information about the unit and know what resources the operating system allocates to it (you also get operating system data).
