Claude Money has no public launch. Anthropic is reportedly testing a Money section in Claude’s iOS app that invites users to link bank accounts and ask about spending and financial plans, but Anthropic has not announced the feature or provided a release date.

The development was reported on September 15, 2026, after the interface was reportedly spotted in the iOS app. On September 17, the same feature was discussed under the name “Geld.” That makes this a glimpse of a possible product—not a banking service you can sign up for today.

What the reported Claude interface appears to offer

The interface is presented as a separate Money section inside Claude’s mobile app. Its onboarding message says users can connect bank accounts and ask Claude about “spending, plans, and more.”

That wording points toward personal-finance analysis. Possible uses include reviewing balances, identifying recurring payments, examining spending trends and working through budgets or financial plans. Those capabilities are suggested by the interface, rather than presented as a final feature list.

The reported design is centered on reading and discussing financial information. No transaction permissions have been disclosed for moving money, trading securities or changing account settings.

The important privacy details are not yet public

Anthropic has not disclosed which financial-data provider Claude Money would use, which institutions it would support or what permissions users would grant. Its retention rules, security controls and audit practices have also not been described for this feature.

That matters because linking a bank account is not just another chatbot integration. The provider, access scope and treatment of transaction data would determine what Claude could see and what users could control. None of those product details has been announced for Claude Money.

Anthropic’s financial-services announcements on July 15, 2025, and May 5, 2026, cover enterprise financial analysis, connectors and finance agents for professional users. They do not announce this consumer-facing Money feature.

Claude can connect to financial data through separate services

Claude can already be connected to financial data through third-party MCP services when a user authorizes those connections. Truthifi describes a read-only connection for financial accounts, while Era describes a read-only bank-account connection through MX.

Those services have their own access and security arrangements. Truthifi describes OAuth authorization, encryption and logging for its service; Era says credentials are handled by MX and describes access as read-only. Those claims apply to Truthifi and Era, not to an Anthropic banking feature.

The distinction is straightforward: Claude Money is a reported, unreleased Anthropic feature, while Truthifi and Era are separate services that connect financial data to Claude. Anthropic’s consumer feature remains without a public launch, release date or disclosed connection architecture.
