On November 2, 2026, DIGITIMES reported that ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) expected revenue to keep growing through 2027. It cited tight memory supply, AI-server demand and higher-value DDR5 and LPDDR6 products as drivers of that outlook.

For PC buyers, revenue growth at one supplier is not itself a signal of lower RAM prices. The reported outlook points to tight supply and demand from AI servers.

CXMT’s 2026 results put the outlook in context

Reuters reported that CXMT’s revenue for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, was CNY 118.71 billion, up 613.2% from a year earlier and 19.3% from the previous quarter. Net profit attributable to shareholders was CNY 54.4 billion. Gross margin reached 89.53%, an increase of 1.94 percentage points from the second quarter; Reuters attributed the rise to higher prices and sales volumes, along with lower per-chip costs.

For January through September 2026, revenue totaled CNY 269.02 billion, up 738.5% year over year. Attributable profit was CNY 132.04 billion, compared with a CNY 5.28 billion loss in the same period of 2025. These are reported results for 2026, separate from the outlook through 2027.

The $73.8 billion figure is an analyst estimate

In an August 23, 2026, report, elEconomista cited FactSet consensus estimates of $46.0 billion in CXMT revenue for 2026 and $73.8 billion for 2027. The rounded figures imply an increase of about 60.4% from 2026 to 2027. That is an analyst estimate, not CXMT guidance.

Capacity plans and DRAM development

Reuters reported that factories under construction in Beijing, Shanghai and Hefei could eventually double CXMT’s monthly capacity to about 600,000 12-inch wafers. The report gave no date for reaching that level. Reuters also reported that samples of CXMT’s sixth-generation DRAM had completed validation, an important step toward commercial production.
