So, all you have to do is look at this gallery dedicated to Defected Pixel. Its creators simply inject pixel art into real photos, some famous (Sad Keanu), and others not so much. In certain cases, the retouches are minor, but they don't lose impact. Clouds, pets, a campfire in the middle of the forest... subtle details and very well achieved at the same time.
