Disney? Yes, these days it needs several tractors to haul in the box office of Endgame, and it will probably crush Avatar in a couple of weeks. However, today we are going to share a bit of classic Disney, and I mean "classic" for real. We have already seen its main characters as real people, and several of its princesses took on the role of millennial influencers, but now it's the turn of oil paintings, courtesy of artist Heather Theurer. I must admit: it makes you want to hang one on the wall.
I said it before and I'll say it again: Disney characters are an inexhaustible source of inspiration, and even though the megacorporation may not like the idea, many artists out there don't hesitate to apply their own personal touch, creating wonderful variants in the process. Examples? Without going too far, Ástor Alexander turned the princesses into heroines and villains of noir detective stories, and today I want to present the work of Heather Theurer, who uses oils to express her talent. From Mérida to Dumbo, through Mulan, Lilo & Stitch and the Señor Sapo, the quality of her works is impressive, and if you have the resources to invest in art, I recommend that you do it by buying a copy on her official page.
