The relationship between the Internet and television is getting closer, and as free signals multiply, we also find new platforms starting to compete with each other. Our number one recommendation for watching free TV on the Internet has been Pluto TV; however, it's time to make a little room for Distro TV, which offers more than 140 free TV channels, with series, movies, sports, and news.
Facing the constant garbage of traditional television, a growing number of users turn to the Internet to find different signals, and they are generally having great success in their search. Pluto.TV has taken the Web by storm, TDTChannels concentrates more than 600 channels in one place, and it would be a mistake not to mention Rlaxx TV. But new names keep being added to the list, and one of them is Distro TV. At the time of writing, the platform has more than 140 free TV channels, all in your browser, without accounts or registrations.

There are two usage options: browse the available categories, or jump straight to the guide and find a signal there. From Movies and Sports to Music and Documentaries, most likely you'll find something to watch (or at least something to keep you company in the background), but Distro TV also has an OnDemand section to access specific content right away, and we've noticed it relies on some YouTube channels to expand its offerings (for example, gaming and technology).
Fortunately, there's no need to worry about language: The vast majority of signals on Distro TV are in Spanish, so we don't have to struggle with subtitles. All the latest channel guide updates appear on the official blog, as do announcements about documentaries and other special programs.
Can Distro TV become a direct competitor to Pluto.TV and other platforms? For now I'd say it has work to do. Its current interface isn't exactly comfortable, and streaming performance is much better on Pluto.TV, but those are technical details that will be resolved over time. Distro.TV must prioritize optimizing its content, because there are big players entering the scene. Without going too far, YouTube has already released more than 300 movies and 100 shows in the United States….
