After two whole generations, the most anticipated game of the year arrives with everything to the new consoles and PC. Doom comes to change the paradigms, especially with its multiplayer mode where we show you the six modes you can play with your friends.
The expectation for this new installment comes from the loyalty to the original concept. In this Doom they promise us the same speed and violence of the early 90s games, where not only will we take advantage of the power of firearms (and chainsaws) to eliminate everything that moves, but a new multiplayer system is presented based on the essence of old games like Doom 3 and Quake III Arena, where matches developed at light speed and only the most expert learned to master each of the maps.
In the new Doom video you can see the six modes to play with your friends, detailing three of them: Soul Harvest, where you must kill enemies to get their souls; Freeze Tag, freeze your enemies and help thaw allied characters by being near them; and Warpath, where the objective is to capture the moving zone. The other three modes are the classic Clan Arena, Domination, and Team Deathmatch. These modes, along with the spectacular next-generation graphics and the pace that takes our breath away during long hours of play, is the spirit we hope it has since it was announced.
In Doom you will have to run, jump, and shoot at all times while grabbing objects from the ground, like health kits and damage bonuses, which can change the course of the match. Also, the classic weapons are present, like the shotgun, the chainsaw, and the powerful BFG 9000, as well as the possibility of playing with the enemies. But in addition, for the developers it was very important that Doom has support for community-created content, and for that they created Doom SnapMap, a tool that allows creating maps of all kinds, assembling blocks and combining events, so that the game stays relevant for a long time. Doom is being developed by id Software and will be available on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on May 13, 2016.
