ReClock Filter is an application that helps you avoid discontinuous playback (jerky playback) of video files in AVI and MPEG format. The tool also works when you connect your computer to a TV or projector. The utility is a DirectShow that loads autonomously, replacing the default audio processor and the video card clock.
How ReClock Filter works
Each video standard has its own frames-per-second rate. For example, the PAL standard runs at 25 frames per second, while NTSC uses 29.97 frames per second. The platform corrects the difference when you play a PAL-encoded movie on a device with an NTSC video card, adapting the audio and video speed to achieve full synchronization.
Configuration and compatibility
The utility's configuration is really simple, although you will need some video knowledge. In the interface you will find three tabs: “Audio setting”, “Video setting” and “Advanded setting”, from which you can manage the platform.
For the application to function fully, you need to have ArcSoft TMT 6 or PowerDVD 13 installed on your computer. ReClock Filter is a platform that is constantly updated, and its current version includes support for PowerDVD 14, 3D Blu-ray, PowerDVD 10/11/12 and 13, and ArcSoft TMT 6. ReClock Filter is a free application available for Windows operating systems.
