Tech Advisor reported on Oct. 20 that Apple had sent invitations for an event scheduled for Oct. 28, 2026, and expected an eighth-generation iPad mini to appear alongside new MacBooks. The tablet’s appearance is a prediction in that report; OLED and Apple A20 Pro are described as rumored specifications.
What the iPad mini rumor includes
The expected tablet is also called the iPad mini 8. Tech Advisor reported OLED, a display technology, and an Apple A20 Pro chip among its possible specifications. Neither detail has been presented as an Apple product announcement in the coverage.
The refresh rate is still unsettled
Vietnam.vn reported both 60 Hz and 120 Hz with ProMotion as possible refresh rates for the rumored display. Reddit commenters disagree about which matters more: some say they would pass on a 60 Hz screen, while others prioritize OLED and do not consider 120 Hz essential. Those comments reflect individual preferences.
