How to simulate volcanic eruptions with Erupt?
First, we have to tell you that both the interface and the animations of the platform are very polished and will really surprise you. The types of eruptions the environment accepts are: Plinian, Vulcanian, Strombolian, pyroclastic flows, and surges.
- After opening the program, simply create a new project from its top menu.
- At this point, you'll need to determine the type of eruption you want to simulate. The eruption types are shown as icons at the bottom of the interface.
- There, the main settings you can customize will open (force, impact, wind speed, mass flow, and explosions).
- Once you finish configuring the parameters, you can start the simulation. To do this, click the 'Erupt' button. Next to the simulation, you'll see the following statistics: Phase, Volume, Tot Time, Tot Volume, etc.
