On November 5, 2026, Fitch Solutions announced that clients with existing Fitch Solutions entitlements could access licensed Fitch Ratings, CreditSights and BMI content through Perplexity and Perplexity Computer using Fitch Nexus – MCP. The connector uses the Model Context Protocol, a way to connect information with AI tools.
Access depends on existing Fitch entitlements
Fitch described the integration as access for its clients who already hold the relevant Fitch Solutions entitlements. A Perplexity account alone does not replace that licensing requirement.
Four Perplexity workflows can draw on Fitch content
Fitch named four workflow areas and described these uses for its licensed content:
- Cited answers: Credit-related answers can cite Fitch content.
- Deep Research: Reports can include credit ratings, Key Rating Drivers, peer comparisons and country-risk analysis alongside public-source research.
- Perplexity Finance: Fitch’s forward-looking credit opinions and analysis can appear alongside analyst ratings and auditable financials.
- Labs and Computer: Spreadsheets, dashboards and presentations can draw on Fitch data as model-ready credit inputs.
Fitch describes connector controls and a planned addition
Fitch says the connector authenticates content, attributes it to its source and logs it for compliance. In the same announcement, Fitch said it planned to add Sustainable Fitch content later.
