After the great success of its latest film adaptations, the Dune universe is ready to make the jump to the small screen. One of its main advantages is that it spans millennia, and there is plenty of room to tell new stories without harming the canon. Dune: Prophecy takes us 10,000 years into the past, but its events take place after the famous Butlerian Jihad that destroyed thinking machines. Two Bene Gesserit sisters, Valya and Tula Harkonnen (Emily Watson and Olivia Williams), face a new threat in the form of Desmond Hart (Travis Fimmel), who seems to get along very well with Emperor Javicco Corrino (Mark Strong).
