Most of the comments online point to the "low-cost" profile of the trailer... and of course, the desire to see Ron Perlman once more. But putting that aside, we discover that Mike Mignola himself (you know, the creator of Hellboy) is part of the project, and it's much more aligned with the original comic than we expected.
Hellboy: The Crooked Man shows us a young Hellboy, lost in the Appalachia region, and forced to face more fundamental horrors... things that hide in the forest. Perhaps these "contained" stories are exactly what Hellboy needs to get back in the ring. There's no release date yet, but it's estimated that we'll see it this year.
