The Electric State is a fabulous graphic novel that Simon Stålenhag published in September 2018. Its style of “decadent retrofuturism” made us feel nostalgia for parallel worlds that don't exist, and online reviews have celebrated every single page.
What happened? Netflix put $320 million on the table to turn it into a movie starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt. Technically, this is the last trailer before its release on March 14... and I think that's enough damage.
