FotoSketcher: Quick Effects for Your Images

Let's imagine for a moment that you don't need to do massive editing on an image. All you want is to change its look a bit, make it resemble a hand-made drawing or a painting on canvas. There are many image editing programs that offer filters and effects of this kind, but FotoSketcher is a dedicated application that, besides having a good repertoire of effects, is free and works very, very well.

Finding applications that fit your needs is quite a difficult task for the user. Bowing to what most consider "the best" is easier, but it also doesn't make much sense to use one or two functions of a program that is clearly intended for professional use. Of course, you shouldn't go to the other extreme either.

FotoSketcher has been around for a while, but its latest version includes over twenty effects, and within most of them you can find several parameters that will further alter the final result.

Perhaps you want the image to resemble a drawing made with a pencil, but if you need the strokes to be longer or without as much "pressure" in them, you can make those changes without any trouble.

Also, you can apply a "comic style" to an image, or use classic functions such as pixelation, "sepia", or adding text, among many other things.

FotoSketcher is completely free software, works with all versions of Windows, and also offers an alpha version for Android, whose APK you can download here.

If you already use another image editor, FotoSketcher might not be of much interest to you, but it is lightweight, easy to use, doesn't cost a cent, and delivers what it promises, so I have no problem recommending it.
