In January 2019, Italian programmer and astronomer Paolo Amoroso dedicated a few weeks to learning the popular Python language and came across a message from a user on the 'learnpython' subreddit asking for suggestions to become a better programmer.
One of the comments basically asked for books or portals dedicated to algorithms and data structures. Amoroso shared one of his links and, upon seeing the positive response, decided to prepare a list of links with all the free Python books he had accumulated. Other users quickly added their own resources, and the final result is the Free Python Books project.
