Geektopia reported that China accounted for 14% of ASML’s sales in Q3 2026. ASML’s results, published on October 14, put company-wide net sales at €11.662 billion for the quarter, which ended September 27. The China figure is Geektopia’s report; ASML’s release gives its overall quarterly results.

Geektopia also said purchases from China rose 23% from Q2 to Q3. That is a different claim from the headline on TechPowerUp, which described China shipments as 23% of system sales. The two outlets attach different meanings to the percentage.

ASML reported 121 systems sold, including new and used units

ASML reported 113 new lithography systems and eight used systems sold in Q3, for 121 systems altogether. Its Q3 results also put net sales at €9.326 billion in Q2, compared with €11.662 billion in Q3.

Lithography systems are machines that pattern integrated circuits on chips. Geektopia listed 40 ArFi, 35 KrF, 17 EUV, 10 ArF and 19 i-line systems—a total of 121—and described them as new. Those category figures are global; ASML’s reported split counts 113 new and eight used systems. The figures do not identify China-bound machines by technology.

ASML’s planned supply is expected to trail demand in 2027 and 2028

Finanzas para todos discusses ASML’s 2027–2028 supply outlook and China’s semiconductor position in this Spanish-language video.

In the October 14 results release, ASML CEO Christophe Fouquet said the company’s currently planned supply for 2027 and 2028 was expected to fall short of customer demand. ASML was also examining ways to increase 2028 capacity beyond a previously communicated 30% increase.
