Google announced on October 28, 2026, that Chrome’s Enhanced Autofill was beginning a US rollout of suggestions drawn from Gmail. Gemini with Personal Intelligence powers the feature, which can suggest details such as order numbers, tracking information, and flight bookings as users fill out online forms. Google named desktop, Android, and iOS as rollout platforms for Gemini in Chrome users with Personal Intelligence enabled.

What Chrome can suggest from Gmail

Chrome already autofills basics such as names, addresses, and credit-card numbers. Google says the Gmail-based suggestions can add order numbers, tracking details, and flight bookings. Those are examples of details it may suggest, rather than a promise to fill every field or use all email content.

Thurrott separately reported a future plan to add details from images in Google Photos. That is a reported expansion, distinct from the Gmail suggestions in Google’s October 28 announcement.

What happens when you choose a suggestion

A desktop screen recording shows a user selecting a Gemini flight suggestion, filling the booking field, and reaching a check-in confirmation screen.

Google describes the feature as suggesting information while someone fills out a form. In an 11-second screen recording published by 9to5Google, a user selects a suggested flight-booking detail, the booking field fills, and a check-in confirmation screen appears.

Who is included in the initial rollout

Google said the rollout was beginning in the US for people using Gemini in Chrome with Personal Intelligence enabled. The platforms named were desktop, Android, and iOS.

For Personal Intelligence eligibility, Notebookcheck reported that Google’s Gemini Help lists a personal Google account, an age of 18 or older, and Keep Activity turned on. The report also says work, school, and supervised accounts are excluded.

What Google says about controls and connected data

Google says users can manage whether Enhanced Autofill is enabled and what it can access in Chrome settings. Google also says sensitive data is encrypted.

Google’s broader Gemini Connected Apps guidance says connected-app data may be used to personalize Gemini and improve Google services, including training models when Keep Activity is on. Google says models are not trained directly on Gmail inboxes, though summaries, excerpts, and inferences from relevant content may be used. A subset of data processed by Gemini may be reviewed by people, and disconnecting an app does not itself delete Gemini Apps Activity. These are general Connected Apps practices, not a description of Chrome Enhanced Autofill’s specific Gmail data flow.
