Google announced wider access to Gemini 4 Argon on October 13, 2026, listing Google AI Pro and Ultra for the Gemini app and Search AI Mode, Ultra for Antigravity and specified developer tools, and paid Gemini API access worldwide. Google’s announcement sets out those routes; SiliconANGLE reported that the rollout to Pro subscribers was still underway that day.
Gemini 4 Argon access by product
| Google product or route | Named tier or access | What it covers |
| Gemini app | Google AI Pro and Ultra | Argon access in the app |
| Search AI Mode | Google AI Pro and Ultra | Argon access in Search AI Mode |
| Gemini app Canvas | Pro subscribers, according to Ars Technica | Code generation with Argon |
| Antigravity | Google AI Ultra | Access to Antigravity’s agentic coding workflows |
| AI Studio and Android Studio | Google AI Ultra | Argon access in the named developer tools |
| Gemini API | Paid API access for developers and businesses worldwide | A separate route from subscription eligibility |
| Tasks mode in the Gemini app | Google AI Pro and Ultra | Google says Tasks is available in select countries, according to SiliconANGLE |
Google also says up to 10,000 scientists can apply for six months of the highest Antigravity usage tier at no charge. Eligibility, capacity and selection apply.
Pro can code in Canvas; Antigravity is separate
Ars Technica reports that Pro subscribers can generate code with Argon in Gemini app Canvas. Google lists Ultra for Antigravity, a separate environment for agentic coding workflows. So Pro’s reported Canvas access does not include the Antigravity route.
NeoTeo previously covered questions about Gemini 4 Argon’s practical coding performance.
SiliconANGLE reported U.S. subscription prices of $19.99 per month for Google AI Pro and a starting price of $99.99 per month for Google AI Ultra. Those plan prices are separate from API usage charges.
Tasks can keep working while you’re away
Google’s Gemini app update describes Tasks as a mode users can start with a toggle in the main chat window. It can continue a task while the user is away from the computer, and Google says Gemini connects to more than 40 apps, including Instacart, OpenTable, Adobe and Shopify. SiliconANGLE reported that Tasks is limited to select countries.
Gemini API rates and token limit
Google’s introductory Gemini API rates are $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens. Google also states a 95% discount on cached input. Ars Technica and SiliconANGLE reported that the introductory rates run through November 30, 2026, with rates set to rise on December 1.
| Token type | Introductory rate through November 30, 2026 (USD per million tokens) | Reported rate from December 1, 2026 (USD per million tokens) |
| Input | $2 | $4 |
| Output | $10 | $20 |
Google describes the API limit as one million tokens across input and output, with a continuation protocol for long outputs. It is a combined limit, not a one-million-token allowance for a single synchronous output.
