Google told 9to5Google on November 3, 2026, that a fix had rolled out for Android Auto issues on Galaxy phones running One UI 9. The statement followed user reports of stuttering and connection failures, but does not confirm that the fix has reached any particular phone.

What Galaxy owners reported

One UI 9 is based on Android 17. Some Galaxy owners reported Android Auto stuttering or failing to connect after the software rollout. An informal comparison described by Android Authority found the issue on a Galaxy S24 Ultra running One UI 9, while a Galaxy S25 Edge running One UI 8.5 did not show it. Because the test used different phones and was not scientific, it does not isolate One UI 9 as the cause.

NeoTeo previously covered reports of One UI 9 reaching Galaxy S25 phones in Europe. The Android Auto reports concern a separate problem associated with the update.

What the reported fix means for your phone

Google’s statement describes a fix rollout; it does not confirm receipt on an individual device. Android Authority reported that switching to a wired Android Auto connection did not help some affected users.

One Reddit commenter said allowing Android Auto video resolution up to 1280 × 720 stopped screen tearing on their setup. That account concerns screen tearing, not a general remedy for audio stutter or failed connections.
