What the proposed AI reporting rule covered
The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) proposed reporting requirements for the development of advanced AI models and computing clusters. Identified as RIN 0694-AJ55, the proposal would have amended BIS’s Industrial Base Surveys Data Collections regulation. It remained a proposal rather than a finalized reporting obligation.
