The Story of Half-Life
This year marks the twentieth anniversary of the classic Half-Life, one of the best first-person action and strategy games. The story is well known: Gordon Freeman is a scientist working at a secret military base. But everything goes to hell when a routine experiment goes wrong and a dimensional portal opens through which aliens enter. To make matters worse, the military sent an army of soldiers to cover up their mistake, eliminating all evidence, human and alien, and destroy the base. So Gordon has to deal with aliens and a highly trained army of soldiers while searching for a way to end the alien invasion.
The Half-Nuked Mod
It should be noted that throughout the adventure, Gordon demonstrated formidable skills in using various weapons to defend against attacks from aliens and government soldiers. But what if this adventure, instead of Freeman, had the charismatic Duke Nukem as the (anti)hero? A fan had that vision and brought it to reality with Half-Nuked, where you can play Half-Life with Duke Nukem as the protagonist. Because after all, the King has more experience when it comes to eliminating aliens that have invaded Earth.
