The story here is a classic tale with explosions, aliens, heroines and heroes. The difference is that Help is the first immersive film made exclusively for mobile, giving the audience a window to look anywhere, setting the pace and framing of the shot. Google Spotlight Stories has created a new mobile format for storytelling, combining live action and computer graphics in a 360-degree video, creating an action drama driven by cinematic-quality visual effects.
Help stars Lauren Elise as the young heroine and Sung Kang (The Fast and the Furious) as a police officer, who must escape the alien's pursuit over the five minutes the video lasts. Produced by Bullitt and directed by Justin Lin (known for directing several of The Fast and the Furious films and the upcoming Star Trek Beyond) in collaboration with Google ATAP (Advanced Technologies and Projects), Help is available for free with the new Google Spotlight Stories app on iOS and Android through the App Store and Google Play.
