If there was a series that ended inconclusively, it was undoubtedly Heroes. Fortunately, in a few months Heroes Reborn will premiere, continuing the story of a group of people who begin to discover that they have special abilities. Are you going to miss it?
The Original Series
Created by Tim Kring and premiered in 2006 on NBC, Heroes is a series that tells the story of an apparently normal group of people who gradually become aware that they have special abilities. At the same time, a secret organization known as The Company is dedicated to investigating these people while a serial killer, Sylar, is hunting people with special abilities. The series consisted of four seasons, concluding in 2010 with an open ending that left fans who had been following it in suspense. But that gap will be filled with the premiere of the new miniseries titled Heroes Reborn.
What to Expect in Heroes Reborn
According to the official synopsis, the miniseries reconnects with the basic elements of the first season where ordinary people begin to discover that they have special abilities. Heroes Reborn begins with a terrorist attack in Odessa, Texas, that leaves the city devastated. Blamed for the tragic event, people with special abilities are in hiding or used by those with nefarious motives. As expected, Reborn includes new characters and stories like Lucas and Joanne, two vigilantes who are trying to avenge a tragic loss. In turn, old acquaintances will return like Noah Bennet, who is investigating the truth behind the Odessa tragedy.
Cast and Premiere
As episodes air, more characters will appear, where we will learn their stories and discover the powers they have while they face a new threat. The new cast of Heroes Reborn includes Zachary Levi (Luke), Judith Shekoni (Joanne), Gatlin Green, Ryan Guzman, Robbie Kay, Rya Kihlstedt, Kiki Sukezane, Danika Yarosh, and Henry Zebrowski. Some members of the original cast return as well, such as Jack Coleman (Noah Bennet), Noah Gray-Cabey (Micah Sanders), Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman), Jimmy Jean-Louis (The Haitian), and Masi Oka (Hiro Nakamura). Created and produced by Tim Kring, Heroes Reborn will consist of thirteen episodes and will be broadcast on NBC starting September 24, 2015.
