Imagine being a homeless dog, wandering the streets of a huge city, looking for food, friends, and a shelter to spend the night. That's what Home Free proposes: experiencing the life of a stray dog.
A Stray Dog's Adventure
Home Free puts you in command of a lost dog in a huge unknown city. You'll experience the life of a stray dog, wandering the streets looking for scraps, avoiding cruel humans, and escaping the territory of other dogs. The game develops the dog's story through the decisions and actions you choose. Do you want to be a delinquent that steals food from unsuspecting humans, or would you rather earn your food by performing tricks and gaining the sympathy of citizens? Of course, you can also be a scavenger dog that heads out with your own pack in search of food.

You can play with more than a dozen breeds to start exploring this new city and mark your own territory. Use canine abilities to play with friendly dogs in a park or escape from a group of hostile dogs for having entered their territory. It's important to explore the city to know which neighborhood you can rummage through garbage for something tasty or which park you can go to play with your friends without anyone bothering you.
Kickstarter Campaign and Release
The game also includes a multiplayer mode called Dog Park, where up to four players can participate in games and fights in a park. For now, the project leader started a campaign to raise funds through Kickstarter. Home Free needs $50,000 to finance itself, and, as usual, all those who support the project with a donation will be rewarded with copies of the title, t-shirts, and even the possibility that you and your dog become part of the game. Home Free is being developed by Kevin Cancienne and will be available on Windows and Mac. For now, the game doesn't have a concrete release date, but it's expected to be released at the end of 2016.
