SalonERP is an ERP that helps you optimize your business functions. With this platform, you can create events, control employee schedules, payments, interviews, clients, and suppliers. It also generates invoices and handles the management of each payment, allowing you to track income and expenses through reports. This web-based program requires a server to run, so you'll need to set up a local server on your computer, and we'll use XAMPP.
Installation
After downloading SalonERP, you'll need to unzip the ZIP file and copy the decompressed folder. Then open XAMPP and start the Apache and MySQL modules. On your computer, follow this path: Computer - C drive - xampp - htdocs, and paste the extracted folder there, then press Enter.
At this point, the installation of SalonERP begins. You'll need to create a login ID. For the database type, select SQLite. Then choose the language (English and Dutch) and upload your company's brand image.
Using SalonERP
On the main page, you'll see a calendar that provides an overview of appointments. These appointments are listed in the center of the interface, and you can switch between daily, weekly, or monthly views. At the top, you'll find four menu options: Customers, Products, Reports, and Settings.
From Customers, you can control everything related to your clients. Using the “+” icon, you can add new clients (name, surname, comment, address, and phone), edit them, or view their details.
From Products, you can configure your company's products. Here, the “+” icon lets you add new products (Name, Duration, Price, Color, and Category).
From Reports, you can generate various types of reports, such as income reports, product reports, client reports, and many others.
In the Settings tab, you'll find all the functions to manage your company's options, such as name, address, website, creating a new employee, and so on. You can also change the program's design templates.
Creating events is very easy: just select a column on the calendar (date and time) and click there. A pop-up window will appear for you to configure and fill in: client, product type, add a comment, and the event duration.
At the bottom, you'll see three buttons, but we'll focus on the first one, “Pay.” From there, you can add the payment and then print the invoice.
SalonERP is truly a great option for having total control of your company in a simple-to-understand environment. It is available for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.
