If you neglect to clean your computer for a few weeks, its performance will likely be affected in the long run. That's why we present two methods to delete files by creation date, modification date, or last access date. Although Windows lets you delete files manually or check the installation date from program details, that action is quite inconvenient when you need to delete files in batch. These methods also allow you to delete files securely, move files from a folder instead of deleting them, specify the file type for deletion, and so on.
Method 1: Batch Delete Files Using Delete Files By Date
With Delete Files By Date, you can delete files by creation date, modification date, or access date and apply filters such as:
- Specify the file type (*.doc, *.mp3, etc.)
- Set a creation date.
- Set a date range for the scan.
- Add the time along with the creation date.
- Add the size (MB, KB, etc.)
- Set a password for its interface.
Its use is very simple. In the Delete Files section, you set the filters to search for files. Then, at the bottom of its interface, the results will be listed. You just need to select them and click Delete. The applied filters are saved in the environment, which is why it's very useful to protect the program with a password. Method 2: Delete Files by Date Using Cyber-D’s Autodelet
With Cyber-D’s Autodelet, you can delete files by modification date, access date, and creation date. It also has two excellent features: the first is secure file deletion, making it nearly impossible to recover deleted files; the second is moving files to the recycle bin or a specified folder.
