It only takes a quick trip through the main forums to see that some gamers want Windows 10 to burn. As always, the complaints are varied, but one stands out above the rest: the annoying stutter or lag that appears in demanding games. Users, detectives by nature, traced the problem to a kind of cache memory called the standby list, which must be purged manually. The program Intelligent Standby List Cleaner removes the manual factor and enables automatic clearing of the standby list under certain conditions.
Microsoft designed the latest versions of Windows to use as much of the available RAM as possible to speed up its functions. In other words, that is the policy of "empty RAM is wasted RAM." How to eliminate stutter in Windows 10
Intelligent Standby List Cleaner is a creation of Wagnard, the same mastermind who developed the fantastic Display Driver Uninstaller. The program will clear the standby list without user intervention when two conditions are met: a minimum size for the standby list and free RAM below a certain value. The factory setting is 1 GB for each field, but this gives us plenty of room to experiment. If the first value is small and the second is large, we can make Intelligent Standby List Cleaner very aggressive in its cleaning. We click Start, and the rest is a matter of checking whether the stutter disappeared in the game.
Wagnard indicated that Intelligent Standby List Cleaner is in beta, but it's working very well here. It doesn't require installation (except unzipping the contents to a folder), and Windows 10 should already have all its dependencies. Of course, the ideal would be for Microsoft to fix this issue at the code level, but knowing Redmond's timing, it's better to keep a copy of Intelligent Standby List Cleaner.
