What is Network Drive Control?
With Network Drive Control, you can automatically assign network drives when your computer connects to the network. This network mapping platform lets you connect to drives that exist on the network, leaving out those you don't have permission for. Whenever you need to assign or remove a drive from the connection, you only need to use its re-mapping technology.
Managing Drives on Multiple Networks
It is very common to use a laptop both on a home network and a work network. At this point, when the user connects the computer to the home network, they will have to assign new drives, and vice versa on their office network. To simplify the task, Network Drive Control offers a backup of each network, so you can connect with just one click and the drives will be assigned automatically. Another excellent feature of the tool is the ability to assign the same name, for example 'F', to a drive on different networks. The program will connect to the appropriate drive on each network even if they share the same name.
Using the Interface
All of this can be done from a simple interface, from which you can connect to drives that are available on the network. You just need to enter the network name, the drive name (the letter), the Drive Path, and the username and password. You can also clone a drive; at this point you only need to change the drive letter and the rest will remain the same information. When you perform the clone, you will see it in the workspace, which is very useful when you want to have copies of the files on a drive.
Aggressive Mode and Drive Management
In our tests, the platform detected the network without any problem. But if you have any detection issues, the utility includes the Aggressive Mode option. This aggressive mode detects connectivity to the Internet through additional checks. The environment gives you the ability to remove drives, edit, refresh, and of course connect and disconnect from networks.
Availability and Conclusion
As you can see, the program is a powerful and very useful tool for mapping and connecting drives connected to the network. In our tests, we found that everything works very well and without any complications, so we are confident in recommending this tool. Network Drive Control is a free program available for Windows operating systems from Windows 7 onward, in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
