The new solid state drives can reach thousands of gigabytes per second in sequential read and write tasks, but they have also improved their durability profile, moving away from the ghosts of spontaneous failure. Basically, what SSD Booster does is offer a total of eleven parameters that allow us to enable or disable features in Windows. Some of them are linked to legacy versions of the operating system, but all aim for the same goal: reduce the number of write operations. For example, disabling kernel paging, timestamps creation, and 8.3 name correction belong to that legacy category, but then we find modern values like TRIM support and hibernation locking.
SSD Booster can also check the overall health status of a drive, and whether the system is using the AHCI mode that guarantees maximum performance.
