Wormhole places a strong emphasis on security, and its creators don't hesitate to compare it with other services. For example, WeTransfer and Dropbox don't use end-to-end encryption, ask for personal data, and share details with third parties.

In contrast, Wormhole stores files on its servers for a period of 24 hours, maintaining end-to-end encryption. When conditions allow, Wormhole performs peer-to-peer transfers, an even faster and more secure option. Another great advantage of Wormhole is streaming: In conventional services, the file is not available until its remote upload finishes. Wormhole doesn't work that way; instead, it enables the link to be shared two seconds after its creation.

The rest will depend on the size of each file and how good the connections are. The 'ceiling' for Wormhole is ten gigabytes, but it's reasonable to assume that a file that size will take several hours to transfer (unless we have access to gigabit and/or symmetrical connections).
