It's not hard to come across information about artificial intelligence and data science these days. Many are convinced that both fields are "the future", but if we decide to learn a bit more, the economic barrier can become somewhat difficult to overcome. The good news is that IBM has decided to offer through the edX platform two programs with courses in Spanish introducing data science and artificial intelligence. The content is free, and you only pay for the certification.
Beyond the Results
We already know that artificial intelligence can paint nudes, create portraits, write rap songs, and invent faces… but those are the final results. What if we want to be "on the other side"? I mean configuring and training models, studying their code, making mistakes and trying again. There's no denying it: specialization is long, and expensive. Something very similar happens with data science, a field in high demand these days (and everyone asks for it in English, "data science specialist", "data mining associate", etc.).
What IBM Is Offering
But sooner or later, the information arrives. The doors open. Do you want to learn about data science and artificial intelligence? Then you should head to the edX platform and explore IBM's offer. There are two programs available: "Fundamentos de Inteligencia Artificial Profesional" (three courses) and "Fundamentos de Ciencia de Datos" (four courses). The courses span several weeks, but the time commitment is one or two hours per week on average, so you can absorb all that knowledge at your own pace.

And you have time to think about it: The artificial intelligence program starts next June 29, while the data science one will begin on July 2 (other sites report August 3 as the date, but the official page announces July 2). At the same time, it's necessary to highlight that the content is in Spanish and free. The published prices are only for acquiring certificates, which will surely be very useful in the professional field.
