In prepared remarks for its October 29, 2026, earnings call, Intel named Nova Lake its first Intel 18A-P client product and said it was tracking ahead of schedule. Intel also identified Diamond Rapids as its first 18A-P server product. The statements place both processor families on Intel’s 18A-P roadmap, alongside separate milestones for Intel 14A, packaging supply and a planned Oracle collaboration. Intel’s prepared remarks

Nova Lake’s place on the 18A-P roadmap

Intel said Nova Lake was tracking ahead of schedule. It also expected the processor family to secure twice as many design wins as Panther Lake at launch. A design win means a customer has selected a processor for a product; Intel’s figure is an expectation, not a count of completed selections.

Intel said it planned to share more about Nova Lake at CES in January. The remarks described schedule progress and an upcoming information update, rather than a retail launch milestone.

Intel’s paper abstract claims Intel 18A-P can deliver over 18% lower power at the same performance, or over 9% higher performance at the same power, compared with Intel 18A. Those are process-level comparisons, not measurements of a Nova Lake processor.

Diamond Rapids and Intel 14A have separate milestones

Intel said Diamond Rapids was sampling and on track to ramp in 2027. The company also reported strong interest in the server processor for inference and agentic workloads. Separately, Intel said 18A-P remained on track for launch across its internal product portfolio by the end of 2026.

For Intel 14A, Intel said it released the industry-standard 0.9 process design kit, or PDK, to select customers in October 2026. A PDK gives chip designers the tools and design rules for a manufacturing process. Intel was preparing for 14A risk production in 2027, a distinct process-development milestone from Diamond Rapids’ planned ramp.

El Chapuzas Informático separately reported that Coral Rapids is planned for Intel 14A in 2028. That reported product roadmap is distinct from Intel’s stated 2027 preparation for 14A risk production.

Substrate shortages could constrain output

Intel said shortages of advanced organic substrates used in EMIB packaging were affecting its ability to scale output. The company expected industry supply constraints to continue through 2027 and into 2028. This is a broader supply outlook, not a product-specific shipment schedule.

Oracle’s planned cloud offerings

Intel described a planned collaboration with Oracle spanning current and future Xeon platforms. The plan includes Oracle Cloud Infrastructure X14 offerings based on Diamond Rapids. Intel presented this as a cloud-platform collaboration; it does not assign manufacturing processes to individual processor tiles.
