The OLED iPad mini with A20 Pro is reported with 12 GB of RAM. MacRumors reported on October 29, 2026, that Xcode 27.2 showed that amount, and EveryMac lists 12 GB for each of the 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB configurations.
RAM listings across the storage tiers
RAM is working memory; storage is space for apps and files. Across all three storage options, EveryMac lists the same 12 GB of RAM. Notebookcheck separately reported 12 GB in a Geekbench 7 entry for a cellular unit with a five-core CPU, the configuration Apple specifies for the 128 GB and 256 GB models.
| Storage | RAM listed by EveryMac | CPU cores specified by Apple | Neural Engine specified by Apple |
| 128 GB | 12 GB | 5 | 16-core Neural Engine |
| 256 GB | 12 GB | 5 | 16-core Neural Engine |
| 512 GB | 12 GB | 6 | Dual 16-core Neural Engine |
Apple specifies a seven-core GPU for all three configurations. Its iPad mini technical specifications list five CPU cores and a 16-core Neural Engine for the 128 GB and 256 GB models, compared with six CPU cores and a dual 16-core Neural Engine for the 512 GB model. The reported RAM amount is the same across the tiers; the chip configuration differs.
Compared with the A17 Pro iPad mini
EveryMac and Cinco Días list 8 GB of RAM for the 2024 iPad mini with A17 Pro. Against that 8 GB baseline, the A20 Pro model’s reported 12 GB is 4 GB more, a 50% increase in listed memory capacity.
