Jurassic World Evolution: Create Your Own Jurassic World
Jurassic World Evolution

If you have ever wanted to run a world-class theme park full of dinosaurs, you won't have to wait much longer. At the recently concluded Frontier Expo in London, the developers of Jurassic World Evolution revealed details about this prehistoric simulator based on park management, including information about the objectives to complete and some great dinosaur images captured using the game's engine. Building on the success of Planet Coaster (and undoubtedly using some of the same concepts), you'll control a dinosaur theme park, so in addition to creating new creatures in your laboratory, you need to manage your attractions and attract new visitors. With Evolution, Frontier Developments promises to deliver the central fantasy of the movie Jurassic World.

When the game was announced in August, Jonny Watts, Creative Director at Frontier Developments, said: "We are excited to bring more than fifteen years of experience in management, simulation, and creature development to a destination and franchise that continues to be an inspiration for us". The career mode spans five islands, each presenting unique challenges and access to new resources. You can choose to specialize in Entertainment, Science, or Security (or a mix of the three). Entertainment, of course, is about keeping as many visitors entertained as possible. Science requires you to conduct research expeditions and educational activities about the dinosaurs in their natural habitats. The Security specialty is tied to creating the deadliest dinosaurs (and keeping visitors safe from them).

You'll also have to deal with the occasional disaster, such as tropical storms, earthquakes, or disease outbreaks, which can disrupt the situation at the facilities. Jurassic World Evolution is being developed by Frontier Developments and will be available on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game does not have a concrete release date but is scheduled to coincide with the movie sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, in mid-2018.
