Tomorrow, March 10, is Mario Day, and Google is celebrating by turning Google Maps into a Mario Kart adventure on Android and iOS. The world's most famous plumber is ready to race on your device.
Mario Time: A Week of Racing and Tricks
Starting today and for one week, Google lets you celebrate Mario Day using Google Maps. The new feature is called Mario Time. To use it, just set a route and look for a yellow question mark at the bottom of the screen. Tap it and Mario will appear in his kart, letting you dodge bananas and red shells.
There's also a hidden treat: tap the question mark 100 times in a row and you'll hear the classic extra life sound from the Mario games.
Super Mario Run Discount
Fans of Mario also get another benefit beginning tomorrow: a 50% discount on Super Mario Run, the mobile game available on Android and iOS. The Mario Day offer runs until March 25.
