Improvised designs, wires everywhere, raw implants, bright lights… cyberpunk has a well-defined identity, but at the same time it is so versatile and dynamic that almost anything can be adapted to that style. One proof of that comes through Hiroto Ikeuchi, an artist who has surprised the web with his dioramas and his "wearable devices" based on parts of smartphones, cameras, virtual headsets, computers, and consoles.
A trained eye will probably be able to detect that many of his designs are inspired by mechas, something that Ikeuchi himself admits, declaring himself a fan of the Gundam franchise. Although his work focuses on the development of dioramas using the interior of computers as a base, Ikeuchi's wearable devices carry an attention to detail that is truly impressive.
Those who want to know more about his projects can visit his Instagram profile or alternatively, his blog on Tumblr.
