In the midst of the DC universe's series and movies craze, Warner isn't letting any opportunity slip by. This year, the DC streaming service launched along with several series, some for streaming and others for television. Metropolis arrives in 2019, and here's what it brings.
What We Know About Metropolis
Warner Bros is in full preparation for the series "Metropolis". This drama comes with executive production from John Stephens and Danny Cannon of Gotham, and will have thirteen episodes. It will air on the new streaming platform from DC Comics and Warner.
This story will focus on Lex Luthor and Lois Lane, take place in the famous city of Metropolis, and occur before Superman's arrival. This new live-action product premieres in 2019 and will be part of DC's digital service alongside Titans and the animated Young Justice: Outsiders (now in its third season) and Harley Quinn. The DC universe is gradually beginning to resemble the path Marvel took over the years, expanding and introducing the less recognized characters of the franchise.

Metropolis will become the third series that tackles Superman characters alongside Krypton and Supergirl. For those asking about any connection with Smallville, we announce that there is absolutely no link with the now-distant 2001 series starring Tom Welling, which ran for 10 seasons.
