A Story of Distrust and Fear

The story of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set after the events of Man of Steel. The United States Senate committee considers Superman a dangerous being, holding him responsible for the disaster caused in Metropolis during his fight against General Zod. To make matters worse, one of the Wayne Towers was destroyed during the battle, and Bruce Wayne feels guilty for not having saved his people. Thus, the vigilante of Gotham decides to travel to Metropolis to confront Superman, fearing what would happen if the latter ever lost control.

But while Batman and Superman face each other, a new threat arrives to put humanity in the greatest danger ever known. We are talking about the ruthless Lex Luthor, obsessed with defeating Superman and willing to do anything to achieve it. Brief scenes also showed Diana Prince, better known as Wonder Woman, an Amazon princess and daughter of Zeus. Although the film is not based on Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, we can see that Batman uses an armored suit to fight Superman in what will be the battle of the century.
