Psychedelia, surrealism, mystery, suspense, supernatural creatures… The development of Mexican comics has been impressive in recent decades, boosted by wonderful art that in more than one occasion walked the line of censorship. Their way of seeing life, death, sex, crime, and many other aspects quickly found its way into dozens of covers that stand the test of time, and the web did not hesitate to rescue them.
At this point, I must call upon the knowledge of our Mexican readers. All we have about the artists are their last names or nicknames: Dorantes, Araujo, F. Zavala Some of these works are old, with more than 40 years on their shoulders. Several data suggest that in the mid-1970s, the Mexican comic industry managed to print more than 50 million copies per month I imagine that many artists had a fleeting passage through this market due to its magnitude, but we would still love to know more. Until then, we will enjoy their images.
