On September 29, Microsoft announces Xbox Mythic Achievements and opens an early look to Xbox Insiders. The recognition is earned by completing every achievement in a game’s original list; achievements added later through DLC or updates do not count.
What counts toward Mythic status?
To earn Mythic status, players must complete all of a game’s original achievements. Achievements added later through downloadable content or updates are excluded, and Xbox says the status remains once earned.
Eligible past completions can count, too
Some eligible games completed in the past, including Xbox 360 titles, may already carry Mythic status.
Xbox’s Gaming tab brings together achievements and completed games, along with a badge showing progress toward the next Gamerscore milestone. Mythic entries receive a heroic frame. Each game’s achievement list also has a progress bar toward Mythic status and an option to focus on the original achievements still needed.
