Based on Bushiroad's successful manga and anime, BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! is a music rhythm game exclusive to mobile devices. The gameplay is in the style of Guitar Hero or Rock Band, where you must hit the notes that appear on screen to the rhythm of the background music to maintain a constant melody and earn points. The game features more than fifty songs, including both original tracks and covers of popular anime opening themes such as "Butter-Fly" (Digimon Adventure) and "Silhouette" (Naruto: Shippuden). Dead Island: Survivors (Free game)
Dead Island was a small big surprise of the last generation but as a franchise it never managed to maintain itself. Recently Deep Silver tried its luck again with Dead Island: Survivors, a free tower defense game exclusive to mobile devices. The gameplay mixes melee combat and trap placement with tactical base building and card collecting. The game is loaded with content, including a large number of heroes, zombies, weapons, traps, consumables, levels, and missions. If you played the previous Dead Island titles, you will be delighted to discover all kinds of connections and references while playing. On the downside, the game uses microtransactions that can be annoying, but nothing that prevents you from playing a clean game. Run or Die
This endless runner has a retro look and feel with a greater focus on movement. Run or Die puts you in control of a young man who has five abilities to overcome the various obstacles that appear on screen. In addition to the protagonist, there are three other playable characters, a day and night cycle, more than one hundred seventy maps, a training mode, a challenge mode, and, of course, an endless mode. The Warlock of Firetop Mountain
For The Warlock of Firetop Mountain, Tin Man Games (Ryan North’s To Be or Not To Be) has made a great difference with its more familiar digital gamebook format. Make no mistake, that element is still there; we wouldn't expect less for the adaptation of the first title in Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone's Fighting Fantasy books. But the Tin Man team, avid board game players, have also added a board game element, with turn-based combat where the results are determined by a dice roll. The love that has gone into making this game shines through completely: it's a must-buy for Fighting Fantasy fans. Transport Tycoon
A fairly faithful adaptation of the classic PC simulator. The premise of Transport Tycoon is that you must build modes of transport, set their routes, and deliver cargo and passengers to their destinations. However, the game includes additional features, larger worlds, and more vehicles. It's a bit expensive, but there are no in-app purchases. An interesting detail is that Chris Sawyer, developer of the original game, ended up supervising the design and helped with the debugging of this adaptation to mobile devices.
