Duncan Jones, director of Moon, Source Code and Warcraft, arrives with a new Netflix original production. The company of Red Hastings aims to be a pillar in every genre, and this new project seems to have a bright future.
Mute is Jones' latest work and is said to be the "spiritual sequel" to Moon, his 2009 debut film. So much so that the participation of Sam Rockwell (Moon's protagonist) was a possibility, but in this new trailer there was no cameo of any kind that might indicate his role as Sam Bell, although hope remains. Another curious fact about this emerging "saga" is that the director (and son of the great David Bowie) had written Mute before Moon in 2003.

To do so, he will have a truly hard time and settle a few scores. The cast also includes Paul Rudd (Cactus Bill) and Justin Theroux (Duck Teddington).
Mute premieres worldwide on February 23 on Netflix. The streaming service of Hastings is stepping up its pace with all kinds of productions. Joining Mute is Altered Carbon, of a similar style, which premieres on Friday and also looks promising. We know that everything fluctuates in these times, and with Disney's constant acquisitions, they can't afford to rest for a minute.
