Note and Explain is one of those drawing programs you shouldn't miss. Thanks to its tools and the ability to open unlimited sheets, you can create artistic drawings with very good finishes.

Various drawing tools

Features

Some of the utility's functions include pencil, highlighter, and eraser, color tools, and the possibility of using a rainbow-colored pencil that draws strokes and images with seven colors at once. You can also adjust the width and thickness of both the pencil and eraser, and determine the size of the grid on the drawing area.

Interface

Once you download the program from its official page, you'll notice its simple interface dominated by the drawing area. Before drawing, you can set the size of the grid, the color of its lines, and the background color. If you don't want the grid, you can erase it with the eraser.

Tool Layout

At the bottom of the interface you'll find all the tools. On the bottom left are the pencil, highlighter, eraser, rainbow color, color options, markers, and the functions for grid size and background color insertion. On the bottom right, you have the features to add worksheets, toggle fullscreen mode, incorporate shortcuts and keyboard shortcuts, and export the drawing to PNG format.

Performance

In our tests, the platform worked perfectly, it's fast, and its functions are straightforward to apply to drawing. We also noticed good performance when opening many sheets. But sometimes when we opened the utility, the bottom icons didn't appear, making it difficult to choose the tools.

Availability

The environment can be used by children or adults, because it gives us a range of possibilities to create high-quality drawings, or export them and finish them in another utility with other functions. Although there are many drawing programs, we haven't found many with the option of opening unlimited sheets and with tools like the rainbow and highlighter. But most importantly, it doesn't consume system resources if you open one sheet or several.

Note and Explain is a free, portable program available for Windows operating systems.
