In a comparison published October 20, SamMobile reports that the Galaxy S24 lacks two notification features available on the S25 and S26, while camera controls also vary by generation. Some of those options were already on newer phones before One UI 9, so they are not all additions from this update.

Features shared across the three generations

SamMobile lists Call Brief, My FanCam, Now Nudge, custom Now Brief cards, Bixby widgets, optional Google Search and Samsung Finder bars, Settings changes, Warranty and care, Driving Report, DeX changes, ad-notification blocking, and Motion Assist among the features shared across the Galaxy S24, S25, and S26 families. It says users can set up to three custom Now Brief cards at a time and choose either search bar, both, or neither.

Call Brief is the exception on the Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy S25 FE, and Galaxy S26 FE, according to SamMobile. The other reported feature allocations below describe the comparison’s generation-level distinctions.

Notification and camera differences

The table summarizes the feature allocations SamMobile reported for the three generations.

Night controlsSimpler Night shot control and a dedicated Night modeSimpler Night shot control and a dedicated Night modeAuto, Max, and Off controls in Photo mode; dedicated Night mode hidden by default and restorable with Camera Assistant

For notification summaries and prioritization, the reported gap is between the S24 and the two newer generations. SamMobile says the S25 and S26 already had both options before One UI 9, so the update did not introduce them on those phones.

The camera comparison also separates features new to an update from those a phone already had. SamMobile says Horizontal Lock arrives on the S25 with One UI 9, while the S26 had it in One UI 8.5; the S24 retains regular Super Steady without Horizontal Lock. The S26’s 24MP standard Photo option also predates One UI 9. For night photography, the reported distinction is the S26’s Auto, Max, and Off controls in Photo mode; its dedicated Night mode is hidden by default but can be restored with Camera Assistant.

Pro Video frame rates on Ultra models

SamMobile’s Pro Video comparison applies specifically to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. It reports several additional FHD and UHD (4K) frame-rate choices on the S26 Ultra, plus one additional 8K choice. Those distinctions apply to the named Ultra models, not the standard or Plus versions.
